Our focus is on breeding German Hunting Terriers and German Wirehaired Pointers, both of which are purpose-bred for their exceptional hunting abilities and temperament. We pride ourselves on maintaining and enhancing the deep prey drive and hunting desire that these breeds are known for, ensuring that each dog is not only a companion but also a reliable partner in the field for serious hunters.
Our German Hunting Terriers, also known as JAGD Terriers, are sourced from some of the finest performance-tested brood stock in Europe. These versatile hunting terriers are bred by hunters for hunters, showcasing an acute game drive and a strong desire to perform. Similarly, our German Wirehaired Pointers are bred from top-class Deutsch-Drahthaars with registered bloodlines, ensuring correct conformation, coat, and temperament. Both breeds are raised in the natural environment of Victoria’s high country, where they are exposed to real hunting situations, including tracking, retrieving, and swimming.
At SAMBARMAN, we are committed to providing serious hunters with premium quality dogs that excel in the field. We offer a full training service for hunter/owners and are proud members of the NZVHDTA and the VHH (Inc). Our dogs are selectively bred for ultimate hunting performance, and we ensure that our puppies go to dedicated hunters only.
