Thornfield is a dedicated Australian breeder specializing in field-bred English Springer Spaniels, known for their exceptional temperament and working ability. Our mission is to bring out the best in every dog we own, ensuring they thrive in various competitive environments, including retrieving, agility, obedience, and endurance tests. Our foundation bitch, Em, has set a high standard in the breed, excelling in both retrieving and agility competitions. We are excited to see her offspring, including Ginny, Luna, and Delphi, continue this legacy of excellence.
At Thornfield, we believe that puppies are for life, and we take great care in placing our puppies in homes that are committed to providing them with meaningful activities. Our breeding program focuses on producing dogs that are not only stylish workers but also delightful companions. Each puppy is raised in an enriched indoor/outdoor environment, receiving early neurological stimulation, socialization with various animals and people, and exposure to diverse stimuli to ensure they develop into well-rounded dogs.
We are proud to have owned Australia’s first and only ANKC Agility Champion Dalmatian, Ziggy, and we occasionally have field-bred English Springer Spaniel puppies available for active families or those interested in hunting, retrieving, field trialing, agility, obedience, and more.
