TAPUA is a dedicated breeding establishment located in Woodstock, Cowra NSW, specializing in Labrador Retrievers. Founded in 2007 by Pauline Gill and her husband, TAPUA is committed to the health and wellbeing of the breed, focusing on producing dogs with strong retrieval abilities, solid temperaments, and high intelligence. With over three decades of experience in dog breeding, Pauline has been a registered breeder since 1991 and is a proud member of Dogs NSW and the Labrador Club of NSW. TAPUA’s breeding program prioritizes dogs that excel in various roles, including assistance, scent detection, and performance, ensuring that each dog is well-suited for a purposeful life.
At TAPUA, the breeding stock undergoes rigorous health testing, including hip and elbow scoring, as well as comprehensive DNA profiling to cover all known diseases and traits associated with Labradors. The puppies are raised in an enriched environment, benefiting from Early Neurological Stimulation and sound desensitization. Each puppy is wormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and comes with ANKC registration. TAPUA takes pride in the fact that many of their puppies are sold to service homes or organizations that train service dogs, known for their exceptional ability and temperament. The dogs bred at TAPUA are not only suitable for service roles but also competitive in show and obedience rings, having achieved notable success at both state and national levels.
With an open kennel policy, TAPUA encourages potential puppy buyers to visit and interact with the dogs, fostering a transparent and welcoming environment. The focus on breeding balanced, moderate-style Labradors that conform to breed standards ensures that each dog epitomizes the intelligence, loyalty, and versatility that the breed is known for. TAPUA is not just about breeding; it’s about creating a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families through the companionship and support that these remarkable dogs provide.
