SILVASHEEN is a distinguished Weimaraner breeding program established in 1980 by Dianne and Chris Brown, located in Morwell, Victoria. With over 42 years of experience, SILVASHEEN has built a reputation for prioritizing good temperament, breed conformation, and exceptional working ability in their dogs. The Browns are dedicated to ensuring that their Weimaraners are not only beautiful but also possess the innate qualities that make them excellent hunting companions. Their dogs are integral members of the family, living in the home and thriving in field and water activities, which is a testament to their commitment to the breed’s original purpose.
Throughout their extensive involvement in the Weimaraner community, Dianne and Chris have been active members of the Weimaraner Club of Victoria Inc., with Dianne holding the title of Life Member. They have successfully bred numerous show champions, dual champions, and obedience and tracking titled dogs, all while adhering to the FCI Breed Standard. SILVASHEEN has produced a modest number of litters, focusing on quality over quantity, and their puppies are often spoken for well before birth. Although they are no longer breeding puppies, they continue to offer guidance and support to Weimaraner enthusiasts and prospective owners.
At SILVASHEEN, the emphasis is on maintaining the integrity of the Weimaraner breed, ensuring that each dog possesses the essential traits of soundness, hunting ability, and a kind temperament. The Browns are always available to share their knowledge and passion for Weimaraners, helping to connect individuals with reputable breeders and clubs. Their legacy in the breed is marked by a deep love for the Weimaraner and a commitment to preserving its qualities for future generations.
