POLDARA is a dedicated small kennel located in South Maclean, Logan QLD, specializing in the breeding of Alaskan Malamutes. Established in 1991, POLDARA has a rich history of involvement with the breed, stemming from a deep passion that began with the acquisition of the first malamute in 1990. The kennel is committed to producing high-quality dogs that adhere to breed standards, focusing on soundness and temperament. With over 16 years of experience in breeding, POLDARA has successfully produced titled champions, including both Australian Champions and Grand Champions.
At POLDARA, the breeding program is primarily aimed at producing show dogs for personal use, with occasional pet puppies available for approved homes. All breeding stock undergo rigorous health testing, including hip and elbow scoring, thyroid checks, and screening for the Poly Neuropathy gene. Each puppy is sent to their new families de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed, accompanied by a starter puppy pack and comprehensive information about the breed.
