Detailed Information

Mildura Veterinary Hospital (MVH) is a cornerstone of animal care in the Sunraysia community, proudly established in 1968. As the oldest veterinary hospital in Mildura, MVH has a rich history that began with its original location opposite the old Mildura Base Hospital. In 1977, the hospital moved to its current purpose-built facility at 370 Deakin Avenue, becoming the first accredited small animal hospital by the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association. Over the years, MVH has undergone significant renovations to enhance its services and facilities, with plans for further expansion on the horizon.

At MVH, the commitment to animal welfare and community support is at the heart of its operations. The practice is led by experienced principals, Drs. Katherine Overs and Alex Wellington, who share a passion for advocating for animals and providing exceptional veterinary care. The hospital is equipped with modern medical and surgical facilities, offering a comprehensive range of services including preventative healthcare, surgical procedures, and wellbeing services. From health checks and vaccinations to advanced surgical interventions and behavioral advice, MVH is dedicated to ensuring the health and happiness of pets in the region.

The services provided by Mildura Veterinary Hospital encompass a wide array of veterinary needs. Preventative healthcare services include parasite control, microchipping, and dentistry, while surgical services cover everything from desexing and orthopaedic surgeries to complex oncologic and thoracic procedures. Additionally, MVH offers wellbeing services such as grooming, puppy school, and nutritional advice, ensuring that pets receive holistic care tailored to their individual needs. With a focus on delivering high-quality veterinary services, MVH continues to be a trusted partner for pet owners in the Mildura area.
