Specializing in breeding Golden Retrievers, Fernfall is dedicated to producing sound, healthy puppies with typical happy temperaments and good conformation. The kennel emphasizes the importance of encouraging the natural working abilities of these dogs, who excel in various competitions including conformation, obedience, agility, and field work. Fernfall Goldens are known for being wonderful companions that thrive on pleasing their owners.

Over the years, the owner has bred and owned more than 40 Champions, including Dual Champions, Grand Champions, and Tracking Champions, many of whom have also earned Obedience titles. Fernfall is committed to ensuring that all puppies leave their care with a solid foundation, having been regularly wormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and accompanied by a vet health certificate. New puppy owners receive the GRCV breed handbook, personalized notes, and ongoing support, including pet insurance to cover the initial weeks in their new homes. The puppies are raised in a family environment, engaging in plenty of outdoor activities to promote their well-being and socialization.

As a proud member of Dogs Victoria and a Life member of the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria Inc., Fernfall maintains high standards for health and temperament. All breeding dogs undergo rigorous health testing, including hip and elbow X-rays, annual eye and heart testing, and DNA profiling. The owner, along with family members, is actively involved in the dog community, contributing to the success of various breeds. Fernfall is dedicated to producing dual-purpose Golden Retrievers that are not only sound in body but also in temperament, making them exceptional pets and companions.
