ARANO Shetland Sheepdogs is a dedicated family-run business located in Boronia, Knox VIC, specializing in the breeding and care of Shetland Sheepdogs, affectionately known as Shelties. With a deep-rooted passion for dogs, the Yeo family has transitioned from owning various breeds, including German Shepherds and Miniature Poodles, to focusing exclusively on Shelties since the turn of the century. The family operates as a cohesive unit, with each member contributing their unique skills to ensure the well-being and training of their dogs.
The team consists of Jeffrey, who manages the administrative tasks and works on obedience and herding training; Irene, who is responsible for grooming and caring for the Shelties, and also teaches them tricks; and their son Errol, who excels in handling the dogs in the show ring. The current show team features Kelsie’s pups, Marshall and Summer, alongside their beloved sable and white female Sheltie, Shadow. ARANO is also affiliated with reputable clubs such as Dogs Victoria and the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Victoria, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards in breeding practices.
